Our Hotel Krone is located in the heart of tVal Venosta in a quiet, sunny location in the picturesque village of Morter near Laces. Not far from the entrance of Val Martello and thus the gateway to the Stelvio National Park, it is the perfect starting point for hiking tours of all kinds. From leisurely walks to breathtaking summit tours, you will find everything a hiker's heart desires!
Mountain bikers also appreciate our hotel as a starting point for their enjoyment on two wheels. Despite the quiet location, the Via Claudia Augusta cycle path and Val Venosta’s famous trails are just a stone's throw away, after all!
Since its opening in 1962 by Simon and Theresia Stocker, Gasthof Krone has become a favourite with guests and locals alike. Our 3-star Hotel Krone, which has been run by Lorenz and Marta Stocker and their children Simone, David and Adrian since the mid-80s, is still a tip for hiking and biking holidaymakers, but also for those seeking peace and quiet.
And with good reason! Family hospitality is our highest priority. We like spoiling our guests, not least with the various culinary pleasures of our half board. In the morning, a wholesome breakfast buffet with healthy, regional products awaits you. Whether coffee or tea, sweet or savoury, a good start to the day is guaranteed! During the day, you can enjoy an ice cream, a cake or snacks at our bar. Six evenings a week, we serve a delicious three-course menu with salad buffet in our dining rooms in the evening. A nice selection of Tyrolean, Italian and international dishes and matching wines leaves nothing to be desired.

Your family Stocker
Six nights? That's right. The seventh evening, Sunday, is the day off for the Stocker family and most of the employees and leaves room for your own rhythm. Regardless of table times, you can plan longer excursions and watch the famous purple Alpine glow of the sunset in Val Venosta, or take a gourmet tour of the surrounding gastronomy! We will be happy to advise you to find the right thing for your taste. We only charge you the bed and breakfast price on Sunday, of course.
